Coming off medication question
Hello! :)
I have a question about coming of citalopram. I've reduced under my doctors instruction, nice and slowly from 40mg down to 10mg (yay!) Anyway, I've been on 10 for a month, and have 2 months left. I feel ok in myself, but Im having real issue getting to sleep at night, & nothing else in my routine has really changed. Im not drinking cafine late, I read before I sleep then spend ages staring at my ceiling. My doctor did give me plenty so that if I found 10mg too hard I could double up to 20mg, but I dont really want to do this purely for a few sleep issues. basically I want to know if this kind of thing should improve once my body gets used to the latest med drop? I do have a history of lying awake for hours, but the last year its been much better since I started full time work, but the last 2 weeks have been a struggle because I just feel so tired. I got some nytol today incase I keep having trouble as a kind of "last resort" thing. Anyways, thanks if you read :) |
Yes it should improve once your body gets use to not having the citalopram. Just keep a good routine and be patient with your body.
Well done on reducing your meds and dong well. |
If your really struggling with it then could you take 20 every other day or every 3 days say?
