Life Down Under

Wow! there are a lot of people on here and a lot of threads. To think someone may notice mine is probably asking for too much but anytime I post on a site and I get a notification to say someone responded I get a little feeling of excitement and get happy that someone noticed.

Anyway back to the title...I'm starting a new life Down Under in ten weeks :D I'm really excited and I cant wait to get over there, I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE. Everything is so gray and meh and nothing makes me happy Everyone tells me I'm not the only one having a hard time and everyone has bad days but my bad days are all day every day...all I do is sleep, go to work, come home and sleep some more.

But thats not the real reason for my immigration...I have decided to leave my dog, family, friends, college, job and sense of security behind because I gave my mom a choice. I asked her to choose between me and my father and she choose him. You're probably thinking thats extreme and no one should ever ask their parent to do that. But I have a very big reason for asking and when she picked him and began treating me like an emeny I realised it was time to go and put as much space as possible between us...so here I go....

I don't really have anything to say to your thread.

But I thought I would leave a nice comment and say welcome to the site :)

I'm Mike and it's lovely to see you here.

"my bad days are all day every day...all I do is sleep, go to work, come home and sleep some more."

What makes you think Australia will be any different? You're still going to have to work to keep a roof over your head, and you're still going to come home tired with an urge to sleep before repeating the same thing the next day. That's just life really, the world of being an adult and having to work. Australia isn't BBQ's on the beach and surfing everything day, people still have to work. Most people don't enjoy it, however most people have no choice in the matter because the alternative is being poor and having nothing.

You work, you pay taxes, you get old, you pop your clogs. Just have to accept it.

Australia will be different, you cant sleep as much there cos you have to constantly check your bed and shoes and stuff for killer spiders!!!!!!!

Welcome to the new lifestyle.

Now you will:
Sleep, go to work, come home and sleep some more.

I hope you find the change invigorating and that it is helpful for you :)

Australia is pretty rad :D
What will you be doing once here, working? Studying?
Do you know any one in Aus?

Best wishes!

Not constantly but SOME of the days you do. It really does depend on which state you are moving to.

I hear they ride kangaroos to work down there. Make sure if you get a used one that it doesn't have too much mileage on it because they can wear out fast. :)

Unless you're living inner-city, then you'll want a wombat. Slower but more compact.
