Anxiety attacks - any advice please?

Hi all,

Recently I've been suffering from fairly bad anxiety, on a regular basis, and I am struggling a lot with it. I generally struggle to keep it under control, and certainly at the moment, they seem to be ruling my life. I would really appreciate any advice anyone might have on preventing them, or resolving once it's already taking place.

Thanks

Skye

i suffer from anxiety myself so I know how hard it can be.
a few things i have found that helped me is listening to classical music while i am having an attack it tends to help calm me down also when i go out in public i have some playing on my mp3 player it helps to make everything seem trivial and it doesn't bother me so much.
also the usual deep breaths and such tend to help
anyways take care i hope that helps

I too suffer from anxiety so I know how horrible it can leave you feeling and how hard it can make doing things like being out in public etc. For me music helps calm me down as well as focusing on my breathing. I also found progressive muscle relaxation helpful. I hope some of that helps. Take care
