Want to cook food from The Hunger Games?
So I found these two videos and decided to share:
Guides and recipes to make two of the famous dishes from The Hunger Games. These two have made their own recipes, based on information available and their own cool cooking skills. First up we have Lamb Stew with Plums. That famous dish of the Capitol which became a favourite of Katniss. and secondly, you could make this on the same day as the stew to really have a Hunger Games meal, Peeta's burnt nut and raisin bread. The type of bread he intentionally burnt and tossed to Katniss, saving her life when she was starving. I've made my shopping list and intend to eat these dishes some time next week. I'll let you know how they turn out  Happy Hunger Games. May the odds be ever in your favour. |

Cool. I'll have to track down that book.

Well I made the stew and the bread and my word they are delicious. the spices of the stew and the soft tenderness of the lamb was just amazing.
The bread, fresh out of the oven, is amazing. soft and warm and sweet from the sugar and cinnamon, the nuts and raisins added a great depth to the flavour. They're great and I highly recommend making either of them. for the bread I used just milk instead of powdered milk and water but it still turned out brilliant. |
Glad it turned out well :)
