Hey,
i havent been on here for a while as i started to find it quite triggering so needed to distance myself from everything.
I have managed to go about 6 months without SH and im trying to stay strong.
Im wanting to get a tattoo to kinds show that i have stayed strong and something to kinda help in the future, something i can look at and remind me of how strong i have been and that i can continue to be.
SO....
I was wondering if people could help me with some one line quotes, either about SH or about getting over it and motivational things etc.
Just wanting 1 liners and then hoping to get it translated into a foreign language to have tattooed.

Are you at least going to get it in a language you speak? Coz I've never really understood that concept.

Erm, I think you should pick something meaningful to you. Because otherwise you're letting someone else pick what your getting permanently tattooed on your body...

bellatrix, no i want to get it in foreign as i dont really want joepublic knowing what it says as its very personal to me etc.

i have a few ideas, so was just wondering if peopel had any so i coudl look them all over and then really go for one that i thought describes me/ what i have gone through.
just done want to pick one at the min to then the next day see another 'quote' which describes me even better etc.

hence i thought i woudl do as much research as i can and then chose .

i dont mind telling people, but i woudl have it in a place that peoepl dont see, i already have 2 tattoos, i dont really like people having tattoos that show, mine are personal to me or to peopel i care about, and if they see the tattoo then they must mean something to me, so that i can tell them what it means.

if that makes sence?

Well I'll recommend the quote in my signature. "Don't be fooled by my smooth skin. The deepest scars are the ones unseen." It's almost poetic but also meaningful and to the point.
I think I wrote that myself. Either that or I have forgotten the source. I read a lot so it's hard to remember everything.

Well, since you said you wanted it in a foreign language of some sort, I am getting one soon that is the Japanese kanji symbol for "forgiveness". It's my way of being able to say that I have forgiven myself and that God has forgiven me. The design also has Japanese cherry blossoms, which traditionally symbolize a time of new beginnings. Perhaps you could look into the symbol for "strength" or something similar?

Me neither. I do find it funny when people get something they think means 'courage' (or anything else) and it actually doesn't. At least if you get it in a language you can read you know what it says for certain.
