Don't Judge Just Yet: Neopets
 

I did say not to judge just yet!

Okay, it is technically a kid's site in many senses - cartoony graphics, major word filter so things can't be said, silly games - but personally I find it to be one hell of a distraction.

I can spend hours on the site just using my pixel money to buy and sell items, stock markets, playing games, reading articles... And it's a little bit of nostalgic regression for me as well. It can be a really nice unwind from 'real life' with that sense because it's so childish and silly sometimes.
So maybe it's just me, and I'm just a big kid, but if you want a neofriend then I'm known as mywaywardson on there.

i haven't been on there yet, but i often use kiddy games like that as a method of distraction, it's quite good at times.

I used to play it. I went back last week but was too lost to do anything. A lot changed.

It's been eons since I've been on that site. In fact, it's been so long, I don't even remember my username. XD

Wow, I had an account there a lifetime ago. I liked that one game that was like Snake only with Meerca's. I could play that for HOURS.

i used to LOVE Neopets.........kid distractions are awesome.......another one i like to play is club penguin....some things you have to have a membership (which costs money), but there are a lot of things you can do without paying.....also pandanda is really fun

i used to love that site! my pet was a blue dragon, i forgot his name :p im gonna check it out again.

I stopped playing a short while ago, but i found it a brilliant distraction :)

Aha, I never knew so many people would remember it!
I just like getting the pets and making designs for them.

Also, just to up my coolness factor, I actually co-run a neopets blog over on Tumblr. So if any of you want to talk to a load of Neopets-crazed people then we're like a massive family there.

omg this post is such a gpoy haha it's an awesome distraction, but can be too much of a distraction when it comes to work ;) I'm telno2 on there if anyone wants to add
