I ran away...

Ok...this isnt the first time i've stormed out of a therpay session (but its not a regular thing either).

But it is the first time i've left and then not gone back.

I'm scared...some of the things the therapist was sayin...he has me completely wrong.

Its like hes saying...oh ur getting angry cos u think this or that....but its not true i'm getting angry cos he's not understanding how i feel...he tell me i think one thing but thats not what i think.

i've told him this but it just doesnt seem to be getting through.

Not sure what to do really...

cos now i feel really bad that i stormed out...but not going into detail...it was cos he nearly made me phyically sick with something he surguested i was feeling...

but i feel now like i was a rite cow...

i'm not sure how to applolgise...what to say to him...i need him to understand why i did it...but i find it hard to say somethings

email works well you can say whatever you want and dont have to be interuppted , hear a angry tone of voice or see a disappointed expression.

I think it is a good idea to explain why you left to the therapist, and writing is a great way to get a message across without interuption.

I wonder if it is worth seeing if the letter helps and, if not, consider seeing a different therapist, as it may be that this is just not the one for you. I have had that happen in the past, I saw a therapist I just did not feel got me, so I left and when I went to make my next appointment I asked to see a different therapist.

Best of luck, and let us know how you got on.

Thanks for the advice guys. :)

I'm going to write a letter to him. I really dont want to change therapists tho as he is the first therapist (i have 5 or 6 now) who seems to really get me. I can talk openly to him (almost) and have a laugh. I feel like ive let him down by storming out.
