With some of my Christmas money, I've bought myself an ipod shuffle 2GB. And a £15 voucher to start off.

I have Windows Vista.

Can someone enlighten me on them? I've previously used an mp3 player.

Question - can I have tracks from itunes, as well as synch the ones I already have on my pc that I've ripped off CDs? Is there a way to do it all together? [ie add the itunes stuff to Media Player Library, then synch it all.] Does that make sense?

Do you need information on how to set it up and all that?

I have an iPod nano, and I think it's quite similar with setting up!

I think you should be able to Media Player stuff to itunes, and then sync it. If you have the mp3 files in your computer, you should be able to add it all to itunes. I'm probably not very helpful, but thought I'd try!

It's more the whole syncing business! How'd you get Media Player stuff onto itunes?

To my knowledge you can only sync the content of your iPod from iTunes. You'll have to open any music content that you want in iTunes. :)

For those obnoxious .wma files, you can download one of those free format converters to switch them to mp3s. It's an extra step but if you want the music on your iPod then it's worth it, yes?

And spend more money? Bleh!!!

Where can you find one of those? It alls seems a bit suspicious when I search on google.

But if you search google for "wma to mp3" you'll get plenty of stuff. I couldn't tell you from experience which ones are good, though. Good luck~

Anyway, Katie, I'd try to download something like the thing above, or I read on google that you can burn them to a disk and then put them into itunes.

Ya know if they are in .wmv you can change them easily enough - right click, change it to .mp3 and copy/paste to itunes. Simples!

I had to literally stop myself buying another itunes voucher today! I'm going to have to ration myself to one a month or something until I've got all the music I need.
