Text messaging challenge.
 

So.. today is Text Messagings 19th birthday - true fax.

I was looking through my phone and theres some people in there that i havent spoken to for quite a while.

A text message takes what.. 15 seconds to write and send.

I challenge you to celebrate the birth of this nifty invention by dropping a text to someone you should speak to more often but never seen to get the time.

I just texted my little sister.

i hope people dont think this is gay as fook.

I shall do this later but I don't think people will be too pleased about getting a text at 2am :) I shall text my Dad I think :)

Texting is so impersonal already! But yes this is a nice idea. I will have to see whom I can text.

I just thought that when youve not spoken to someone for a while its easier (for me anyway) to re-break the ice with a text or whatever rather than a call or actually seeing someone.

Yeah, plus it can re-spark interest with the person. I've done that quite a bit with people via online instant messaging. It feels good to re-establish friendships.

I haven't deleted a single number on my phone(s) for 3 years. I only text a select few and there are only really 5 people that I will ever talk to on the phone.

So I suppose I could text an old acquaintance.

I REALLY like this idea. I've text one of my old uni friends as I know he's been having a tough time lately and I miss mine and his chats. =)

i have literally JUST deleted 25 numbers off my phone of people i dont talk to anymore.
well, to be honest, most of them were crisis team numbers, old CPN's and various other professionals.

i did text my mum though, dont talk to her much anymore. :)

I'm gonna have to find someone, not long deleted a load of people's numbers when I got a new phone
