what's the best christmas present you've got?
Opposite thread to the worst christmas present thread :)
think my best present was when i was little my game boy or concert tickets for a favourite band. |
This is a great thread!!!
Aww thats a really cool present! My best christmas present was when I was about 8 and we didnt have a lot of money, so i only got 1 present which was a large plastic doll with a purple pinafore on which you could interact with. She had a dark brown bob and blue eyes with white tights and black patent shoes under her pinafore. You could feed her with as plastic spoon with different foods on and play yes or no games with her. I am really sad though because i cant remember her name D: Literally will never forget her :) |
Great thread but hard question to answer.
I'm usually pretty happy with any present so long as it's wrapped up :) I think the best was when my parents rented me a car for the week and I drove all around UK visiting old friends - it was immense! |
I love it when I get money instead of presents. Then I can buy what I want and not not what they think I want.
I usually pre-warn family in Cyprus not to buy me presents, but to give me money instead. Then my dad puts it in his bank account (my bank account won't do Euros) and gives me the equivalent cash so I can go to bookshops, CD shops, the army surplus store etc. |
I don't have a best present, they're all lovely to me. =) However one I have and will always have fond memories of is the dress my ex bought me for our first Christmas together. I still have it and I'm sad that it's too big for me but when I look at it it gives me great memories and I love it for that purpose alone.

I got my great grandmother's journal that she wrote in while in school I believe. It's just about falling apart, but I love history, so it fits. <3

Omggg. So many! I think the one that sticks in my mind is one I got as a kid. I was about 7 and it was a massive box. I unwrapped and opened it and it was a go kart! There's film of me actually screaming as I unwrapped it. The look on my face! It was second hand (most of our presents were - lack of money) but my god I was ecstatic. I rode it to death.

My best friend made me a cushion, hand-sewn with the tattoo design that we're planning on both getting one day. That's pretty damn special to me :]
And my Polly Pocket Magical Mansion when I was 5. ^_^ |

Every single time someone has bought me a track day at Elvington.
When people buy me things that they have put a lot of thought into. Or when people make me things |

I had a lot of great presents when I was a child from my parents, they never had loads of money to spend but they always got me and my siblings awesome presents. I think my best present was a sylvanian families canal boat.
My best present as an adult was probably my silver identity bracelet, my father and grandfather have passed away and I have their two silver identity bracelets so my Mom bought me my own so it's got a lot of sentimental value. Also anything that my partner gets me, he buys awesome presents. |
When me and my brother got a surprise joint present of a PS2 we went mental. :P
My favourite present was probably my latest telescope. Wasn't a surprise because I had to pick it (no one else knows much about Astronomy in my family). Thinking about getting a new one for this Christmas though! |
A meccano set when i was a kid. Loved it.
Bit boyish really, but I must have mentioned liking it around the time! :-) |
Barbie train. Me and my brother got more playing together time out of that than anything except lego. Mostly it was a spaceship or something and we never actually used the doll though
|
So hard to choose! As a child, some memorable presents included a Cabbage Patch Doll called Adeleide Avril, a mountain bike, and a video of The Secret Garden.
I tend to love all my presents, but one of my recent favourites was a Brian Froud book (his pressed fairies). |
