9yrs on...
 

So I've been a member of this site for about 5/6yrs now I think, and even though I'm by no means a regular poster, I like to drop by occasionally :).
So I began SH when I was 11, it's 9yrs later and in those 9yrs I've had periods of being "clean", I think the longest was 4/5 months.
But I always come back to it.
And now, like all the other times, I'm wondering if I'll ever stop for good.
My life has turned to a pile of s**t around me and I just don't know how much longer I can carry on like this.
It's like I'm living in a washing machine set on an eternal spin cycle and it's getting faster and faster and my life is just passing me by.
And the really twisted thing? This is my comfort zone.

The fact you have gone for months without SH'ing, shows that you can and you have the ability to stop. Be proud of yourself for managing to do that.

Think about how you stopped last time, what made you stop?

Like Amy said; the fact that you have stopped for these 4/5 month periods does mean you are capable of stopping - have you tried writing down all the reasons you have for stopping and sticking it up somewhere where you're going to see it a lot?
