URGENT.
 

Okay;

I've just found out that my 14 year-old best friend has been badly beaten by her mum tonight. It's the first time it's happened and she's absolutely terrified.

She has nowhere to go 'cause she doesn't live close to any of her friends or other family so she's locked in her room.

I really want to help her but she lives in Liverpool and there're no trains there until tomorrow morning.

I've told her to call Childline but other than that I dont know what to do. Can anyone give me any advice here?

And maybe local Police station?

Childline does seem like the best bet - they'll probably be able to help her calm down and get her head straight. Like Katie said, maybe a local police station would be a good idea if it's at all possible - if she's actually with somebody it might help her to feel safer and they may well be able to give her a place to stay. If she can't get anywhere, her room is the best place for her - especially because she can lock it and it's some space away from her mum.

Other than that, just keep talking to her. Urge her as best you can to tell somebody what's happened as soon as possible and get herself checked out at the first opportunity she has, depending on how bad her injuries are.

Tell her to call the police, or call them yourself and tell them what's going on. They can make sure she has someplace safe to stay until things are sorted with her mum.
