I'm a little worried about an upcoming app
Ok, i have a CPN and support worker, but i have an app tomorrow to see a physiologist, i dont know what to expect and am freaking out a little.
Anyone have any advice? Im really worried about it :Frown: |
There not as bad as they seem, i worked meself up before i went to see me for the first time. All thats going to happen is that you wee get to know each other and she/ will want know a bit of history of your problems and whats going on with you. If you have lots of issuse they might ask which one you would like to tacle first and what they can offer therpy wise. Rember there there to help you.

hi there.
I was exactly the same before my first appointment to see my psych, but I worked myself up for nothing - it was nothing big. We just introduced ourselves a bit and ran through the issues which I'd already explained to me CPN. He then explained the medication he thought I should be on and how things are going to work (appointments with him/my CPN/my GP etc). He also explained a lot about the different treatments which we'd look at a bit further down the line and explained why he thought medication was the way to go at first with me. They really are all there to help you and aren't half as scary as they first seem. Don't worry yourself about it, it'll be fine, I'm sure. Please let us know how you get on. <3 xx |
thanks for the replies.
it went ok. she just had a chat with me about why my CPN thought she could be of a help to me, and just wanted to get to know me a little. i very nearly didt go i was so scared, but wasnt as bad as i thought |
