Paranoia and Depression.
Hi guys,
I was looking for some advice really. I seem to be a really paranoid person. I feel like no-one likes me, like I have always pissed someone off, like someone is out to kill me or rape me, like I'll die any second, that someone is in the house with me and if I'm out someone is following/watching me. It's really starting to scare me and confuse me. Is it normal to feel this way? I have an appointment with a counsellor on Monday, should I mention this? I'm so scared. Help? |
Being paranoid to a point where it interferes with your life is not a normal way to feel. I definitely think you should speak to your counsellor about it as they will be able to give you some coping strategies to deal with it.

It is not normal to feel so constantly anxious and vigilant, no. I imagine a part of you already knows this, and I am glad you have felt able to reach out here.
I think it is a good idea to let your counselor know you have these feelings and thoughts. As crazykat says, they may be able to help you find ways to cope with them and also look at any reasons behind them. It may also be that they think you may need to speak to a clinical dr who can advise on medications and whether they are an option for you. Roiben x |
Thanks guys.
What could it be? Just simple Paranoia? :( |

^^ We are not able to diagnose you, as we do not have the full picture of what is going on for you, and we are not trained professionals. I can only echo crazykat's words as it would not be fair on you for us to offer conjecture and possibly maybe's in response.
Do go speak to the professionals about this. Roiben x |
Oppsie sorry guys, didn't mean to ask for a diagnosis.
I'm just scared I guess. I changed my appointment for this Monday coming as no one could come with me and me + outdoors = bad bad bad. So my fiance is coming with me. I'm so scared. I feel like I'm kind of loosing grip of reality. Thank you though. |
Hi beccaface!
I'd say to def. mention it. It sounds like it affects you very badly and perhaps some therapy / medication could help with your symptoms, depending which you'd react better too. I imagine understanding the cause of it and what it is would help, too, some validation & answers. You can always contact me via BBM/text/phone call if you need any support either before, during or after the appt, or whenever really! I cannot wait to see you on the 5th too :) Long sleepover times to come! <3 Love you babes. xxxxx |
