How often do you see your CPN?
Does this change when you are less or more well?

Yes it varies due to how unwell you are, and the caseload I guess (both in terms of my psych and CPN, and how much free appointments they have).

I have seen my psych anything between 1 month - 4 months. When I have been discharged from hospital it has been specified that I have an appointment with him within a month.

With my CPN it has been generally once a week, though it does change (naturally) whether she has been off ill or on holiday. Then it goes to once a fortnight. Though it does depend though on their caseload - I have heard of people having to see their CPN once a month due to the fact they have lots of other cases.

So there is no definitive answer. I guess in many cases if they think you need extra support they get the crisis/home treatment team to call on you. Of course, you are well within your right to refuse crisis/home treatment if you dont want them.

I see my CPN weekly, I see my psych generally once every 4-6 weeks, but more recently I've been seeing a new psych every week because I'm moving to a new service, and havd had to have all the assessments and jazz. I see a "psychotherapist" (I'm a bit dubious about her too) once a week also.

I have had super intensive treatment, generally with crisis when I've been poorly, but I'd say the usual is CPN and therapist once a week, psych once every 4-6 weeks.

I actually saw my first psych once and my other psych i never met him as i didn't need to be on meds though my old cpn would disagree lol.

My old cpn i saw every week, She would allow me to ring her up if i needed to , if i was struggleing then i would see her more then once a week for a while.

I see my OT (care co-ordinator) every month or so, but that's because of having intensive treatment somewhere else. Before that, I requested weekly or fortnightly depending on how I was. I also saw a support worker fortnightly.

I see my psychiatrist every 2-4months.

CPN every week, although I have been quite ill recently and she has been seeing me two or even three times a week.

Psych when I/CPN request it-- no set times.

And currently crisis team every other day.

i see my pyschiatrist every 4 weeks, it was every 6 weeks at one point

When I was very unwell I saw my keyworker/CPN weekly and my psychiatrist two weeks to monthly, though I had contact with the CMHT almost daily before an admission to hospital.

On average I would see my keyworker fortnightly to monthly and see my psychiatrist every three to six months.

And just before I was discharged I hadn't seen my key worker for six months or my psychiatrist for over a year.

I see my psychiatrist ad hoc or for 6 monthly CPAs and my social worker I either see once a week or once a fortnight depending on how well I am. I don't have a CPN.

I used to see my psychologist twice a week, a dissociaiton specialist once a fortnight and my psychiatrist once a month. (then moved house so don't have a new team yet). I've never had a CPN, was told that was "not ill enough" a few years ago and it's never been suggested since


As has been said though it varies according to how often they feel you need to se them and when they are avaliable

I also have a social worker and not a cpn and i see her weekly generally although on occasions it's fortnightly due to her being on leave or what not. When thinks are really bad then that can increase to twice a week.

I see a counsellor (privately) once a week and this is the same day and time every week so it's pretty much set in stone unless I can't make it or the rare occasion when she is on holiday etc.

I see my psychiatrist as and when - on a couple of occasions I've been seen twice in one week though this has generally been in the run up to a hospitilisation. At other times i've seen him weekly again this is very rare and more normally I see him every couple of months and the longest period between appts was about 5 months.

I see my psychiatrist once a month (or every 4 calender weeks exactly, he likes to keep it Monday afternoons 4 weeks apart). I don't have a CPN yet but in the process of getting one.

I see my cpn weekly, although like said if she has holidays or illness the longest between appts is 14days and when im down she has seen me more regular ( 3 times a week) or she rings me inbetween seeing me.

My psych I see every 6months- if that! I dont mind coz I dont trust anybody else really bar my CPN xx

I see my Psych once every 6 months - regardless of how well or unwell I am.
At one point I saw Psych more regularly, but that was when I lived in a different area. My feeling is that it depends where you live, more than how ill you are seen to be.

I don't have a CPN but I see my psychologist every 4 weeks or as needed depending on cancellations.

I see my Psychiatrist every 3 months or so. Last time he said I was dragging it out (I have bipolar and the meds I'm on don't work) so I don't know whats going to happen next. I've only seen a CPN a couple times, I'm due to see one in the next couple of weeks, a month after I was referred for depression & sh - unfortunately I rapid cycle so I'm no longer depressed.

At least its free.

I see my psych once every 3-4 months but I think since I moved out of the area I now see noone.

I seem my two therapists once a week or 2 weeks depending on stuff.
