What do you call the thing you change the tv channels with? It's just we call it the pressy button and I just realised that's a bit of an odd name.

So now I'm curious!

ive only just realised a few months ago dobber is a strange word for it

It's a remote [control], of course.

We call it the zapper in our house.

'Dobber' is a word????

I grew up seriously thinking it was called a "bibber".
Many humiliating moments later, I now almost always manage to call it the remote instead. Thanks parents. Lol.
