Is this SI *triggering*
 

I do cut but i also pick the skin on my fingers aroungd my nails. It really hurts sometimes but I really hate having skin hanging which it does becuse i bite my nails. It also bleeds alot and i do it when im nevous or upset. Is it self harm?

There's actually a thread on here about this (I can't remember the name it's too long but begins with D). But yes, it's a type of compulsive SI, usually because the person engaging in it does it without realising. It's a habit that I've had since I was the age of 4. But in my case it usually gets worse when I'm more stressed out, in which case it is self harm.

No problem :) It makes me feel better that you mentioned it's around your fingers because it's exactly the same for me too and I've not heard someone else with this problem say that before!
