more stress! landline problem...
 

Our landline's not working. No dial tone.
[Though the internet is working..]

Am trying to sort it with our phone company. Done all the faff with the test socket. They'll do a line test overnight when I'm not using the internet. Then we'll see.

Why do these things always happen when my flatmate-who-is-confident-on-the-phone is away????!!!

Anyway. Anyone have any idea what might be the problem?
I'm really hoping that it's a problem at the exchange, and it can be fixed without us needing an engineer to come and visit.

I dont have a clue...sorry thats not very helpful, but i just wanted to say well done for trying to sort it out with the phone company. I for one wouldnt have the courage to do that xx

There was a problem at the exchange. It's all working again now. I'm majorly impressed that they work on a Sunday... I wasn't expecting anything until at least tomorrow evening!
