Friends telling..... Don't know what to do.
 

Sorry for wasting your time and posting so much. I just don't know what to do..
I told my friend I started again and now she feels like she has to go tell our schools guidance counselor with one of my other friends. I know they care and are trying to help but this will be the 2nd time someone has told our guidance counselor bout my cutting and she really didn't help me last time except for telling my parents who pretty much ignored it and only brought it up once. They are those people who won't understand cause my life should be perfect! I started from friend problems, now I'm kinda depressed, and am addicted to cutting but my parents won't get that...
They are telling sometime this week.. What should I do???:doze:

Maybe bring a list of things to say, and a list of questions about getting some outpatient support in place for you, like references to therapists, etc.

Maybe... It's just I don't know what to say to her, her daughter is best friends with my older sister, who is in her early 20s but it's weird talking to someone who knows your family. Also when my mom talks bout how the guidance counselors daughter used to cut her thighs... Like I do but my mom doesnt know this.

make sure that you tell her you want her to keep everything as confidencial as she is allowed to, because you're talking to her as a councelor and not as a family friend. i don't think she'll have any problem with that. also let her know that you would like her to talk with your parents and explain about self harm properly so that they understand better

Yah I will... I feel like my friends will tell her mostly everything cause they both, I'm pretty sure, saved the texts I've sent them.. But I hope she explains it to my friends too cause they don't totally understand either. Ya the problem with her telling my parents is I don't think my mom really likes her that much so I don't know if she will listen. Im just afraid my parents won't understand and think I'm like crazy or something or we're going to argue about it.

That's really tough... I've had something similar happen, so I can kinda relate. I'm sorry there's not much advice I can give you, but, I really hope you're doing alright! I'm always afraid people will think I'm crazy when they find out I cut :/ I'm glad your friends care so much and are trying to help you though :)

Yah.. I'm doing alright just nervous about this.. People might think you're crazy but if they mean something to you then they'll understand, the people who think you're crazy are the people that you don't need in your life. Yah I'm glad they care too but it just sucks that this is how they have to do it.
