Labels in the creative corner.
 

Hey CC folks,

As you know the labels in this board did not change when we changed over in August. The community team has thought this over and has come up with a possible solution. We want to know what you think of it and let you pose any questions/changes/concerns about these new labels. This is the proposal.


If a piece is labeled as a personal piece critical reviews are not wanted by the OP. Similarly, if you label a thread 'reviews requested' it means that you welcome constructive criticism. We are doing this because people sometimes post short things they wrote just to get the ideas out, whereas others want their creative work critiqued.

*Reviews requested - contains upsetting material* - It means that you want constructive criticism on your work and that it contains graphic/triggering material *Reviews requested - safe* - Means it wants constructive criticism, but has no triggering material. *Personal piece - contains upsetting material*- does not want constructive criticism, and contains graphic/triggering material. *Personal piece - safe*- does not want constructive criticism and does not contain triggering material.

Great idea; the current labels definitely need updating. Just wondering what the theory was behind having both 'contains upsetting material' and 'safe'?

Just incase there is any confusion, which there shouldn't be, but you never know.

What's the proposed definition of 'safe' though? [Sorry if I'm opening a can of worms... just, well, if I do ever post a piece, I'd want to label it right, as would others. Cos, you know, just because something doesn't include depression, self harm, or abuse, doesn't mean it's *safe*.]
