Feeling Emotional and like you want to Burst into Tears..
For No reason at all...I feel like that just now and do feel like that from time to time:sad:
What is that and what causes it??? |

It could possibly be depression or maybe some other mental illness. as well as maybe an imbalance of something else in your body besides brain imbalances. I'm not a doctor, and that's not too much info to go on, but I would talk to your general practitioner or any other doctor, such as a psychiatrist, or maybe your therapist if you have one. There a lot of people (professionals) you could ask about this, and I'm sure they could give you an answer & definitely help you out some, probably more than just "some".

We can't tell you what it is or what's causing it because none of us are qualified professionals. Sow hat I would recommend is seeing a therapist or your GP and explaining your symptoms, if you haven't already done so.
In the meantime, maybe you could start keeping a log of how you felt and what you were thinking before you began to feel so emotional. Maybe that could help identify some triggers. |

I don't think psychiatric evaluations go on for a few weeks. I think it's more of a few hours in a day type deal, and if they assess that you need psychiatric help, they put something in place for you.
The best I can recommend is go back to see your GP, tell him you are serious about finding a psychiatrist who will do in-depth testing. Ask him if he has any referrals. If he does not meet your expectations, you may have to do some searching for a psychiatrist on your own without the help of your GP. |
Thanks, I will do that tommorow. would you suggest i ask him to refer me to the one i saw before or a totally different one?.

I would suggest asking for a different one. Just explain to your GP that you felt the psych did not spend adequate time addressing your concerns, and you need one that will be sure to listen to your concerns and do some more in-depth evaluation.

just get a proper seeing by a psychiatrist, but when you do, understand they are trained and if they only spend half an hour with you and dont ask to see you again then that is all they feel is necessary - evaluations really dont take very long
also - i forgot to say, i feel like that all the time too. |

One thing: if i do ask my gp to refer me to a different psychaitrist at a different place(not a different psychiatrist at the same place i was the last time) can he refuse to do so? |
I dont think he would refuse hun, just ask to see a different pysch.

I don't think a lot of people on this site know a lot about legalities.
You'd be best off just asking your doctor what you need to and seeing what happens. |
