Pregnancy Testing

I think I could be pregnant.
And before anyone has a go at me...the dates and times and everything just confuse me so I just want sumone to set me straight.

I had unproteced sex about 2 weeks ago...
And my period was due on the 28th.
I don't know if taking a pregnancy test now will give me the right results because it only happened two weeks ago. And my periods are irrgular anyway.
So after reading up on some stuff I was going to take a test in two weeks.
Is there anyway I can take the test earlier? Im really scared and just need to know so I can figure out what to do.
*(Don't judge me).

Three weeks after the sex and it should be accurate hun.
I hope you get the result you want, I know how worrying this can be sometimes. x

I am so scared and just need to get it over and done with...I feel like crying..:(.

Im not sure about when, but blood tests can be done earlier than home kits so maybe phone the Drs surgery and ask them?

Clearblue pregnancy tests say that they work from 5 days (i think) BEFORE your period is due so as your period is late I reccomend you get a clearblue pregnancy test (Early Response is the same I think) and take a test.

There's no harm in taking a test. If you do, its best to take it first thing in the morning using your first pee of the day because that is when your HCG (I think thats right) hormone levels will be highest and therefore more likely to give you an accurate result.

I hope you get the result you want and if you don't, there is always a way to work through things. Good luck honey, and I don't judge you, I have no reason to.

I think a blood test would be more accurate and you should be able to get that done now, hun so maybe that's a better option for you.
Stress can also delay your period too hun, so the worry or being pregnant could be the reason why your period is late.

I'm here if you need to chat, about anything - I personally also don't judge. x

fragile as glass 04-11-2010 07:57 PM

Hope you're ok, I wasn't sure by your posts which way you hoped things to swing. Take care.

GreySkys 06-11-2010 09:02 PM

Im getting rid.
I didnt want to be pregnant. :/ xxx

Do you have any emotional support or councelling right now? I dont know how abortions work, but I imagine you have to go through your GP or sexual health clinic first and I would hope they could set something up to support you through this decision.

How are you feeling right now? x

fragile as glass 07-11-2010 10:38 AM

I respect your decision and can understand not wanting to be pregnant. Good luck (the abortion process is much more easy the earlier you get treatment for it)

Forgive me for asking this question, i know that everyone has their on personal stuff to deal with. And i know that you must be having a difficult time with having an unwanted pregnancy..

But, why did you have unprotected sex if you didnt want to get pregnant?

Im sorry, maybe this is out of place and none of my business..its just what came to mind when i saw this thread..

Do tell me to mind my own business if you want..

x

laughingdoll 07-11-2010 09:24 PM

I think we all make mistakes.
I think asking why she had unprotected sex is really not important right now. The OP has made her decision and needs support with that atm.

what an ouch of an avatar though laughingdoll for this thread.

laughingdoll 08-11-2010 04:16 PM

It wasn't intentional, but I do feel I'm allowed to be happy about my pregnancy since I've had numerous losses.

Bellatrix 08-11-2010 06:13 PM

^ I think she was just pointing out the irony, not saying you couldn't be happy.
