Keith called me today!!!!

i havent smiled for so long in my life i dont think. he broke his arm on friday but didnt go to the docs until today (hes soo tough :)). and he wanted his Mom. even though it wasnt the best news, we talked for quite a while and i know we are still in the beginning stages of reestablishing things. i cried like a baby the whole time and when he told my sis that he called me, he told her "she cried ALOT", lol. so many happy tears!!!

and i really needed them too because my ankle fracture has worsened but they cant operate because i have staph!!! so im stuck in this cast until further notice and on really icky pain killers. i would normally love to have a lortab but my ortho told me that since it is worsening and along with the staph, the pain will be tough and has given me percoset. it makes me nauseous(he also prescribed an anti-nausea) and groggy but it has definitely helped the pain. it also makes me really itchy and i hate that, so he tells me to take benadryl..ughh.
once the staph is gone, he may do surgery, just depends on how the ankle heals. today, they had to cut down both sides of the cast because the swelling had gotten bad and the vibrations of the saw thingy hurt like hell. then, after letting the pressure off, they recasted.

anyhow, Keith broke his humerous this time. he was playing with a friend and fell on his shoulder, so the break is very close to his shoulder and all they can do is put him in a sling. but he told my sis he "had it made" because this means no chores and they told him to rest so that means playing video games!! lol. im still in shock that we've talked and how things happen the way they do. i told my uncle that Keith had to break his arm before he would talk to me and my uncle replied "sometimes good things come out of bad things " :)

just had to let you guys know. im all smiles right now and am going to hold onto it as long as i can!!!
