Right this thread is for all those people who have to deal with rude customers!!

I wanna hear your stories!!!

Heres mine.....

I work in a jumper shop...

Customer walks in

ME: Hello there.
*no response*
ME slightly louder :Hello
HER: Yes I heard you the first time i just dont like to talk to the (she did the bunny marks) 'Help!'
ME: *shocked!*


I sometimes think people go out of thier way to be rude to you!

P.S i know ive spelt half of the title wrong.......having a off day lol.

or customers that come into mcdonalds and ask for like, a summer menu, or th e99p menu, which is loads of options, then wheni ask them what they want, they say again 'the 99p menu'

or when i put things through and its grill orders or something, and they want something else...


customers are arseholes at times...

yeah i work in a supermarket, i get bad customers all the time

from drunks to old people who cant understand a word i'm saying

its even better when people ask me if i work there, even tho i'm standing in front of them in full uniform.....everytime someone says that i always wanna say "no i'm an asda spy....shhh dont tell anyone..." then run off and pretend i'm looking for clues lol

Hell yes - I worked at a McDonald's over a year. I'll never forget the time that some lady came in yelling at me (I was a manager) about her food not being cooked right, and her 10-year-old son saying he was going to sue me. Or.. the time that some guy tried to give me $15 to "do something" with my hair. :\

I'm probably going back to McDonald's soon. Oh joy.

Someone asked our barmaid what chicken breast was... so she decided to grab her boobs and make chicken noises infront of everyone...

also what is the difference between chips and potatoes?

and then drunk people in the bar... falling asleep,wandering off half way through ordering drinks... or the latest one was "can i look at your snoozle?"- meaning my nose :|

the nasty drunks are the worst though

Yeah sometimes we get bad customers and its annoying as 'the customer is always right'.

I just let it go over my head though at the end of the day.

i had a lady who was unloading her trolley onto the empty belt and a gentleman (i use the term loosely) came infront of her shopping, ordered me to stop the belt and started unloading his basket into the empty gap on the belt. i just put his stuff to one side and carried on serving the lady.

also you get all sorts of horrible people when you refuse to sell alcohol, DVDs, games etc that are clearly for underage kids and therefore is illegal to sell. i don't think they realise that if trading standards caught them that they get a fine too.

i'm sick of 'if i want to give my child a drink then that is my right as a parent', yes it is your right, it is however illegal to buy the alcohol to give to your child. So give your child alcohol, but you can't buy it - it's illegal. grrrr

We had annoying women. The downstairs till was closed so I asked her to pay upstairs ( which is on the way out of the shop anyway) and she slams her goods down and demands to pay upstairs telling the manager I said she couldn't manager was nice though.

haha, i had a ****ing chav complaining to me a on tuesday night (he was like 10) that he didnt want him flurry cos it had sauce crap in it. i was like, it shows that in the pictures, take it or leave it, you arent getting another one


a deaf customer shouted at us once cos a manager didnt come instantly to her and she wasnt getting her food cos teh person was getting the order before hers ready and she hadnt paid cos she hadnt put her card in te card reader
they are so ****ing dumb at times (im looking forward to that in 25 hours i sepnd 17 of them in mcdonalds from 4pm tomorrow...

I work with tourists and some of them are just really so stupid.
The other week I got asked "What's a bus?" and yeah, bus is pretty much the same thing in most languages.

But we do get a fair amount of really angry people. And they get even more annoyed when you don't speak their language. Worst I've ever had was a Russian guy who came in and started shouting at me, in Russian, because we didn't sell a book in Russian.

I work on the phone doing tech support for internet customers. And I have seen the best and the worst! People are just so ignorant. And, they assume I AM the company I work for. . .no. . .I work for them! It doesn't mean I have the CEO's home phone number for crying out loud!

Argh. . .too angry to describe right now, but people just seriously suck to tech support sometimes. next time you personaly call them, try and remember that they're people too :-p

this happened like 4 years ago and it still makes me mad. i was working for a rental car company and was going over some of the legal stuff with the customer.
me: and is this lovely woman your wife?
customer: yes. well i guess you gotta ask that now with men marrying men and women marrying women. i think people like that should be filling holes in the ground.

if i was not working i would have knocked his fat ass out right then and there. that is my f**kin family and best friends.

I once worked for a call centre, doing customer service for a mobile phone company and I talked to some really rude people.

One woman was obviously under suspision of having an affair and her partner tried to make me give him every single number on the call history of the phone, which we actually don't have to do, and as it wasn't his account, I couldn't anyway, and he tried to complain about me for being incompetent!

There was also the guy who called me up to say he'd topped up his phone this morning and the credit was all gone, when I calculated the cost of his calls and texts for the day it came to £10.34, and had mostly been text messages, he point blank refused to admit he'd spent the credit, even when i asked if there was anyone else who could have used his phone, and explained that I had every number he'd text, and some of the numbers were adult text services that cost quite a bit. He hung up on me.

Urgh customers can be so horrible! Yesterday I served so many rude people, is it that hard to say please and thank you?!

One woman didn't give me the right money and when I said that I needed another 10p started ranting at me that it was right and that I wouldn't beat her at maths, she could do it in her head, so I counted it out loud in front of her which soon shut her up.

Had someone else ring up and start shouting at me down the phone that she's paid for her shopping but the man serving her hadn't given it to her, when I said I thought she had the wrong shop she carried on shouting that she knew which shop it was untill I eventually managed to get in that there were two of us working today and we were both women, she said oh and hung up.

we have randoms do that last bit to us aswell

there is a little kid (a hoodie) that appparently comes in every sunday (or quite often anyways) trying to get a free mcflurry by claiming that he paid for one and didnt get it, so we ask him which till he was served on and a lot of the time he cant remember or picks a till which hasnt been used for several hours *giggles*

i jus rember people swearing at you becasue some items sell out really quickly, i mean its not our fault if an item sells out.

theres concessions in the shop that have different returns policys, but the customers are all "but i paid for it at a debenhams till", yes but its still a *insert other shops name* item so i cant return it by our policy... "but i bought it here, at this till" no matter how many times you explain, they dont listen, cause they bought it at that till, so i have to return it in that way.
customers suck, they dont realise that i actualy dont give a hoot if the shop makes or loses money, im just doing what im told to do - no need to shout a ty me, not my policy or items, i just ring it through the till.

Well i hope you told her that if she doesnt speak to the help she wont be getting any help. Stupid woman.

Haha our shop may be the worst place for rude customers I mean its full of drunks, druggies and wee old complainin old people.

We have had one customer scream at the staff because they simply didnt know wot they usual was cos we had just all moved shop, another called the poeple on the shopfloor a bunch of trianed monkeys and then there are the ones who just swear at us on the checkouts.

But i once had this guy who was stupid enough to put his clubcard jsut after the divider so i couldnt see it so when i lifted it it went under the belt. He just started screamin at me and sayin i had bewtter get it back but i had no idea how to get at it cos it was only my second day in the shop and thats when he started on at me...

he went "you are nothin but a JOKE!!"
I replied "DONT U EVER CALL ME A JOKE AGAIN"
he looked a little startled and went " ur here to serve me not shout at me"
i then said " its not my fault ur clubcard went under there u didnt even tell me it was there and I am servin u I have just packed ur bags havent i?"

he just growled at me handed over his money and left after that and when I told my team leader wot had happened she was all proud of me cos i had stood up for myself which was a bit of a first lol
