I'm doing good

Hey, normally i post only when i'm really depressed or psychotic so this makes a change!

I'm on injections of an antipsychotic and i cant decide if it works or not. I had a few months where i rarely heard voices then i had a couple of months where i was hearing voices everyday again (as i posted about in sd & a only last week). Now, just as quickly as they returned they've disappeared again and i feel sooooooo much better about everything. Now the question is is is it the injection thats causing the voices to go because i have a med review this week and so need to decide whether i want to stay on it or not. I hate it because it makes me so tired but if it takes away the voices?. argh i dont know.,..

what do you guys think? is it worth discussing with my psych whetheer there is anything similar we could try that wont cause the tiredness and potentially risk the voices coming back or is the fact that i had a couple of months of voices whilst on my current medication a sign that its not really working and its just a coincidnce that the voices have gone again..

any advice greatly appreciated

I think you should say everything that you have said in this post. I hope you can find something that works for you. Take care.

Certainly worth discussing. Their may be other methods to reduce the tiredness too, like increase your iron intake and etc. But certainly worth telling them, I am really glad you've found a decrease in your symptoms though, that's great!!

Sometimes these things take some time to kick in - could that be why you were still hearing voices for a while? Also worth asking your treatment team.

Good luck with it, let us know how it goes :)
xx
