Anxiety Disorder
Hi, I've not posted here before so I'm sorry if this isn't right for in this forum.
I just wondered how people cope with anxiety disorder. I've just been diagnosed and am on meds from the doctor (2nd type of meds as the 1st lot didnt help). The following content has been hidden - Reason : This is trigger part: please be careful
Also are there any tips anyone can give me on trying not to panic as much or anything? |
i cant offer much when itcomes to anxiety as i suffer from it too.
meds can help along with therapy to try and find out what can be done to help the underlying problems which lead to your anxiety. when feeling anxious take deep breaths and challenge the thoughts that are causing you to feel anxious |

I'm not diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, [which makes NO sense, lol!] but I do have quite severe panic and anxiety. When it was at it's worst, the only things that helped were meds and hiding from everyone and everything. Now I'm starting to emerge from my 'cave' as it were, um, lots of things help but right now I feel at a loss to describe them. I'll come back to this.

Thanks for replying Shelz, Sarah and Stellata.
I do try to take deep breaths which is mostly easier said than done. I am waiting to go in for counselling. I just feel stuck and trapped at the moment. My boyfriend is doing his best to understand but I just feel so distant from everything yet it all still makes me panic. My doctor has put me on busiperone (think thats how its spelled without going to check the box). |
