Should I go in ?
don't know where this should go but to avoid anybody thinking it's in the wrong section I'll put it here.
Basically the doctor asked me to go in to a local clinicy type place for a while to calm me down. It is voluntary and I don't know whether to go will it really help verses the stress of family being dissapointed, work possibly firing me, lack of money and broken ties with newly made friends Really Confused anyone got advice? |
This is tricky. At the end of the day do you feel like you could do with a rest? If so go to the clinic. Don't worry about your work you should be allowed sick leave with a doctors note...and if your not the company is not worth working for anyway. Don't worry about your family being disappointed, it is not shameful to accept you need help and a rest. At the end of the day you have to put you first. Also I am sure you would be able to rekindle those ties with new friends when you get out.

Im too early at work to get sick pay and in a period where they could fire me I can't afford not to have a job although I think my parents would support me If i needed it until I get back to uni. Still don't know if it will help don't know what it's like in there will it just make me worse?

If you gave it a try and felt that it wasn't helping, would you be allowed to stop going? What makes you unsure about whether or not it will help? If your doctor is suggesting it them i'm sure that they feel it is in your best interests and could be really good for you. Put yourself first and do whatever you feel is right. Please keep us updated, get in touch any time. Take care. xxx

I'm glad that you're finding being busy is helpful, but please make sure that you don't do too much and wear yourself out. Take care. xxx
