Trigger Labels: Optional?
I read a lot of the threads in the R/V forum, but a lot of them are very triggering without having a label on. Are trigger labels optional? I thought the rule was to put a label on anything that could be deemed harmful to other ryl'ers.
sorry if I'm talking nonsense. |
No, trigger labels are not optional, but often in R&V, threads are assumed to be triggering because that's probably why they're there.

Okay, Thanks for answering.

Oops. Think I'm guilty of that. Would you prefer that triggering threads have the appropriate labels?
|
I dont think it matters in R&V so much. But I dunno, if something particularly graphic were described then a trigger label would be helpful.
Trigger labels should generally be used, but not overused. For example if you say in passing "I overdosed last weekend" in my eyes that does not warrant an OD trigger label. However, describing how badly you feel you need to OD probably would. |
Another thing this brings up in my mind... I tend to try to trigger label my r/v but there isn't a label option for all of the possible triggers I may include in the thread. A new label of ED/SI/SUI/SA would be handy... but at present I just manually type in *possible triggers all*

r&v i just mention that it's going to be trig. in the title and hide anything i know is borderline-against-rules and/or graphic.
i mean.. it's rant/vent. you kinda have to expect it. and id just assume that anything 'no lable/mention' is 'trig all' |
