I don't go to the doctor and am afraid to go to the hospital for anything because of my scars and what they will think about me being a fit mother. My kids are my whole world. Can anyone shed some light?

Are your scars very new, or are they old?

There is every effort to help parents with mental health problems without it harming the dynamics of the family these days. It's more likely to cause harm to your children if you don't get help, rather than actually seeking out support. On rare occasions children are separated from their parents but that's if the parents really aren't coping with taking care of them. xxx

If you are ill, going to the doctor/hospital and getting better would benefit your children.

i agree, the docs would see you as trying to help yourself, therefore helping your children also. i think its a great idea to go. unless there is abuse in the home, they wont take your children hun. ive been in the same place and no one ever took my son. i, myself, sent him to relatives when my illness became a danger to him. he is my world also.
