I don't feel as though anything is wrong...

I was diagnosed with Schizoid Personality Disorder. But I often wonder if there is anything actually wrong with me.
I can't maintain personal relationships without pulling away.
Getting close to people is like holding a match, you can only hold it so long before it starts to burn you.

I have hallucinations (Visual/Auditory), I've had them since I was a kid but I still don't know if anything is actually wrong.
What do you guys think?

(I'm going into my psychiatrists this month to request the ending of my Lithium perscription which I'm not even taking.)

The thing with such difficulties, especially on the schizoid, avoidant etc spectrum, is that they were usually formed as defences against some kind of relational pain in early childhood. They formed to protect us from hurt. In that sense they feel healthy and supportive of us. Even if deep down we feel lonely and isolated and frightened. People who experience things at the schizoid end of the spectrum don't tend to want relationship, that's how they are. Therapy can help lift and break the mask, if that's something you want.
