Blood test
 

Quick question. I'm going to the doctors for a blood test tomorrow and have been asked to fast for 12 hours before. I'm allowed to drink water though, right? Bit of a stupid question haha but making sure.

Im pretty sure yes, as my Granddad has to have these alot.
However, its an idea to check your letter from the doctor, or give them a quick ring just to make sure =)

Probably. They should have made it clear.

Maybe phoning NHS Direct would be helpful?

I had a blood test this morning and it was a fasting one but I'd already had a cup of tea before going to the Dr and him ordering the test and he said it was fine. On the form it said only water in the morning though.
