I tell people my problems when I'm drunk.

When I'm drunk, I tell people about my problems.
Alcohol knocks down the wall I put up most of the time.
I always feel so guilty and idiotic that I tell people really deep stuff.
Sometimes I can't even remember what I have said.
I just need to know that Im not alone and that they probably don't really care that much...
I just hope they were so drunk that they cannot remember what I have said.

Help please, I just feel like screaming to overpower the regret I am feeling.

I used to do this too.
I know well that feeling of regret.
If it's any consolation, most people do out of character things when they are drunk. Your friends might not even remember what you said.
For me, the best way of preventing this is making sure that I'm in a good mood before I get drunk and that I enjoy myself. That way I don't think about the negative stuff then and don't talk about it.

Trust me i do this too..... seriously, a few days ago I have no idea what i told people or how me and my boyfriend ended up broken up and what excsues I made to justify my bad mood.....

I think either drink less (That's what i'm attempting to do now) so that you're always in control... or, as mikey said, make sure you're in a good mood before you go out (though sometimes although i'm in a good mood my subconscious catches up with me)

seriously you're not alone, i can't even count the amount of arguments i've had when drunk. and how many times I've cried when drunk...

Rough_Diamond 09-05-2010 01:57 PM

Yeah, you're not alone.
I do this sometimes too.

i do this, a lot.
don't worry yourself too much, they could've thought it was just a load of lies because you were drunk:)
most of the people i spill to are also drunk so it doesn't make too much of a difference.

don't get too down about it, i'm sure it will be okay:D

I do that too, and wake up feeling really awful; like an emotional hangover. And it's normally to people I don't really know; but if I don't drink I don't talk. Ever. I'm also on all kinds of meds which I probably shouldn't drink on. So I'm going to give up. I'm fed up of waking up with a panic attack, or guilt for nothing at all, or like screaming. Ugh.

So am going to give it up I think, and see what happens.

I do it as well, and it has lead to some pretty awkward and regrettable situations. All I can advise is to not drink as much, or get yourself so happy you will have a good itme ddefinitely. Also, eating before a party stops the alcohol getting to you, which will make you not as drunk and less likely to spill all your wordly problems.

I'm not one for talking or opening up while sober myself.....I've done this before, and honestly...if your friends are *real* friends, they won't make a big deal about it. If anything, they'll want to help you out, you know?

I wish I could open up more, but instead I keep a journal and vent on here...

I do this as well. You aren't alone.

Thanks for all the replies by the way.

I lost most my friends my talking while drunk, it's a really easy thing to do if you have problems on your mind as drink definatly loosens the lips
