small binges
.......
|
Really well done on your progress so far, that's great!
Do you have any way to keep yourself busy/occupied when off work? A lot of people (with or without EDs) find themselves eating out of boredom more than anything. You could also try to get rid of any junk food you have around and get some healthy stuff in. That way if you do find yourself snacking, it's on healthy foods. |
congratulations on how far you've come hun! definitely try and perhaps pick up some hobbies, find some side activities you like, which aren't very stressful to keep your mind and body occupied while you aren't working?
allowing yourself to have treats every so often may help, so you can be assured to get some, and not feel the need to binge? i don't know. but mixing in more healthy options throughout the day, and increasing your intake to your personal needs sounds great! have you spoken to a nutritionist at all to help you out? well done once again hun! hope you're having a nice day! :] <3 *hugs* xx |
thanks for the replies. I think I may try and add more healthy options to my diet, whilst increasing my intake slightly. When I first starting eating better I ate a lot of fruit and veg and I don't think I over ate at all. I was able to stick to my meals and two snacks a day. Weird thing is when I eat more healthy I get more hungry and crave foods.

not sure what to say but *hugs*
and well done xxxx |
I just can't seem to work out what the right amount of food is to eat per day. I know the more active you are the more energy you will have burnt and will have more to replace. I got weighed at the doctors yesterday and Ive put on quite a bit of weight (Im in the healthy weight range for my height). My clothes still fit the same, apart from the odd pair of jeans, but that feels ok.
I just can't work out why I feel constantly hungry. I have a good healthy breakfast, yet still feel like I could eat more. I eat 3 meals plus 2 snacks a day, but still feel hungry. I just want to able to know if I should still be eating more and if I weigh more does that mean I need to eat more to keep to that weight? I can't currently ask for help eg dietician whilst Im at my current therapy. Maybe once I leave I can ask for some more help via my gp. I just want to eat healthy. |
it's good that you want to eat healthy, I would try the increasing your intake slightly with more healthy options, that doesn't just mean plain vegetables and fruits though, there are other healthy options out there!
perhaps check out mypyramid.gov in the mean time for guidance? definitely seek some help with your gp once you leave your current therapy? these are just some suggestions! *hugs* xx <3 hope you figure things out hun! it sounds like you have good intentions though! |
