Just a little something I've been writting - dno whether to carry on or not?
I curled up in the chair, biting my tongue, my backbones hitting the back of the chair.
'Its very cold.' I whispered. The nurse came and sat next to me,patting my hand. 'You can get through this sweetheart,This is a safe enviroment we've been here for you since you were born,You know us,You are safe.' I stared at the floor. 'You look terrible, would you like to see the doctor?'she said. I nodded. I didn't really. I didn't want to see anyone. Not looking like this. I ran my hands through my greasy hair absent mindfully and stared at my thighs. How did I become such a... such a... monster? 'I'll go and get the doctor, just stay here chick.' I heard her leave the room. I looked around at the colourful cartoon posters displaying pictures of the human body, the sink in the corner, the bed in the corner and right next to me : the scales. I glared at them, their numbers so bold and big,so judgemental. My life had once revolved around those numbers, I remembered. I smiled weakly. had? they still do. Just not as much as I let on. I gently put my ear to the door. Noone was approaching just yet. I jumped on the scales quickly. Did they see me? No. Good. |
