look in the mirror
the figure staring back at you,
is it you,
or is it me?
the voice inside your head
paint a pretty picture
with scars that once bled
colour paints the picture red

look away
I am still there
the thing that you most fear
un wanted tears stream down your face
shaking in agony you feel disgraced

your body frail
your mind distorted
I am here
I am with you
I never leave
I am you...
you're thoughts, your fears, your dreams
you try to cut me out but I stay
rooted to your soul
laughing at your pain I put on display

you cannot run from me
I am truth
I am lies
I am the pain hiding in your eyes
