need to know...
if theres a specific name for flipping out over small things. like i mean kicking screaming hitting yelling biting flipping out. please. i just want to know if theres a name for it...
|
I don't quite understand the question.... what do you mean by small things?
|
there are so many "names" that have this symptom / characteristic, go to your doc, we cant tell you what "name" it is you have.
|
tantrum is the only word i can think of that describes it.
|
It really depends. There could be many reasons, anywhere from an anxiety disorder to a personality disorder to a psychotic disorder and the list goes on. It might not even be a disorder. I would really go to the doctor and talk about whatever is going on.
|
Sounds like maybe you're frightened of something. Or very angry with someone. What do you feel?
|
Again as people have said that is just one symptom. Even if anyone here was to take a guess, it'd be impossible to be accurate at all.
If it is causing you problems in your every day life (which I imagine it is) please see a doctor about it. |

I imagine this person is older than that & it is affecting their life a lot if they are posting about it & sounding concerned about this & curious to know what this could be. Flipping out over small things could be a symptom of a Personality Disorder, it could be a symptom of ADHD, it could just be being sensitive or oversensitive. The OP hasn't gave us much to go on with just one symptom, with no background info, no other symptoms involved, age, situation, etc. |
I know there's something called Intermittant Explosive Disorder which sounds kind of similar to what you are describing. However I don't necessarily think pathologising such behaviour is neccessarily a helpful thing. Perhaps working out what is behind the episodes and working on anger management strategies could be of use.

Pronunciation: \ˈtan-trəm\ Function: noun Etymology: origin unknown Date: 1714 : a fit of bad temper never says anything about age, thank you. OP asks for a name to describe all of those behaviors. I am not putting down OP or making light of it. Without any other info it would be hard to address the question any other way. This is silly to invade someones thread so you can start a conflict. PM me if you'd like to continue. More importantly, whenshecries, what type of small things set off this behavior? Do you have any professional support? |
I'd describe it as an emotional outburst.
There'll be underlying reasons for them though. |

ANYWAY. As I said we can't diagnose you as having anything related to this symptom, hope you can get it sorted out <3 |
