Clumsy?
Im so confused and getting a little bit scared about how clumsy, chaotic, and scatty I am at the moment.
Since starting the Risperidone 3 weeks ago my mood has plummeted and Im just not sure if it's the meds or my mood but was hoping to get some others opinions. So in the last few weeks I have lost my bank card (I think I left it on a table in a restaurant), I have forgotten my coat and well it's cold outside, I do things at work and then forget that im doing it, I've left my hob on and luckily happened to notice it that night, and now Ive just knocked over a full glass of squash which ended up falling dramatically to the floor and has covered the room in squash and glass. I guess I'm getting scared with what next because whilst i do do these things sometimes its not normally so frequent well I dont think it is? So could this be the meds or is it just me having a silly month? |
Ok. I get like that when I'm hormonal, but my dissociative abilities don't help. So we can pretty much rule out those in your case - you can't be hormonal for 3 weeks, and you don't tend to dissociate. [as far as I know.]
Anxiety can cause such things also, which might be going on - when your mind's distracted. It could also possibly be the meds. When do you next see your psych or your doc.? |
Not sure Cam. But as Katie said, pls talk to your doc.
xx |
Risperidone knocked my mood too, made me feel depressed and made me tired. Not sure about the clumsiness though I've had poor co-ordination on other medications.

How are you now?
Have you been able to ctc your doc yet? xx |
I don't see my dr till jan - typically I saw him last week before the clumsiness became really apparant. Again today I knocked over a glass though I had been drinking I had only had a glass we will see
|
I really think it would be worth trying for a sooner/emergency appt.
Especially because of what happened recently with meds... Good luck. xx |
Well my phone rang today and I have an appt with someone on Monday whilst they arent a Dr they might know so we will see
|
I think i'm having similar problems hun (though on olanzipine not rispirodone). I lost a bank card, keep forgetting things i've done, knocked over and smashed a glasskeep getting my words mixed up and other stuff. Probs best to mention it to your psych as soon as you see them (which is probably better sonner than later)
|
Glad you have a sooner appt.
Kinda wondering about the 'not a Dr', tho.... Let us know ok? xx |
Romp it's a social worker but she is in The same team thing as the psych mind you the clumsiness seems to be disappearing a bit xox
|
I may well take you up on your offer next week after work!
Things are okay Im slowly getting used to taking meds on a daily basis it's funny cause on one hand nothings changed and on the other hand everythings changed. Im looking forward to Christmas though getting away for two weeks will be a good break and yeah just getting on with life really |
Glad to hear it is easing and you are feeling a bit better, Cam
