First time tried to get into chat and had a message - Authentic Failed?

its proberly the symbols in your name that wont allow you to get into chat

you can make a chat name so that you can come in when you want and then you can have this one for the forums

Ive the same problem though, I dont have any * in my name but it still doesnt let me on the chat!

I don't think numbers are classed as special characters, correct me if I'm wrong...

It could be your anti-virus... Or you have an old version of flash.

sounds a bit odd, but I find that if i log in and then hours later am still logged in and a midnight has passed, it will always tell me authentication failed unless I refresh the page at which point it will then let me enter chat.
So simply refreshing your log in may work
