RYL Forums - Good news

I know as stated elsewhere on RYL cos im quite sensitive at the moment and quite ill and also quite pathetic [all at once] and cant cope sometimes with the reality of my situation right now and what it/i am doing to me i have decided not to post new support threads regarding going into my own problems right now.

However i did want to post this and share with you all as i know i often moan and say negative and also do not often have good news to share even if it is only a bit and also some of you have helped suppport me a lot to get here so you deserve to know.

Some of you may remember that previously i had an assessment to receive home help for a while because of my physical disability and also my rapidly deteroiating mental health meaning i wasnt keeping up with things.

There has also been quite some worry about funding for any home help care which may have been granted as i fall under two social services teams with my problems and not the one and this also seems to cause quite some problems and confusion especially where money is concerned!

i am still feeling really ill today probably cos of the chest infection i have had and also probably partly cos of what im doing to myself [which i dont feel well enough to go into right now again - and would ask people to respect as im posting to share good news only - but know i should cos i have to at some point].

BUT FOR A CHANGE I HAVE AT LEAST SOME GOOD NEWS:

Today i saw my CPN and she informed me that we dont know when it will start but that i should be getting three times a week home help care for at least six weeks then it will be reviewed.

This has been granted by the social services board who sat earlier in the week to hear cases and the funding issue has been resolved - the cost will be split 50/50 between the two social services teams after it was pointed out the upset it would cause if they could not grant the care cos of battles over which pot money should come from [when apparently it all comes from the same place in the end anyway!].

But this should at least help me a bit get back on top of things a bit at home anyway.i should also soon be getting an outreach worker from another service soon too.Though i dont quite know what their input will be or how long they will stay..
