Psychosis/hearing Voices groups in London?
Does anyone know of any psychosis/hearing Voices groups in London? I know there are some in Manchester, but that's not much help....
In fact if anyone knows of any relevant groups I could go to with a paranoid schizophrenia diagnosis? Sorry if this sounds odd, my mind has been scattered recently, can't make proper sense sometimes. |
I am pretty sure there are. Do you need them in a specific place?
Mind may have links and information, as may Sane's website I will have a look and see what I can find out for you. *hugs* |
Thank you so much Roiben. I live in Mitcham, which is in the southwest part of Greater London, so I don't want to be travelling to the edge of North London or East London etc. But I am not that fussy about where it is as I need to join a group.

Here you go, Merton's Mind may be worth contacting, they are listed as Mitcham and there are a few others if you do a search on the Mind website:
http://www.mind.org.uk/help/mind_in_your_area/56 also found this directory, not sure it is quite what you mean though: http://www.suttonandmerton.nhs.uk/ec...20Nov%2008.pdf I will keep looking for something more specific though. |
My local Mind [out NW] apparently has one, as did the local organisation, Beside, that I volunteered with in Stepney Green. But I don't know about out your way.
|
Hm, Tower Hamlets (which would cover Stepney Green) do tend to be pretty good for groups... but I think it may be a bit far to travel from Mitcham.
Is there any way you could contact them and ask though, they may know of similar places in other parts of London... |
Sutton do three groups, if you were willing to travel there?
|
Thanks all.
I will look into the links. Tower Hamlets is too far to travel, but Sutton sounds ok. |
