Moving out :)
 

So Today I got a new flat and I am moving in next week and I have no clue what to get and where to get it from and I was wondering if anyone of you guys would have any ideas from when you moved out for the first time , any ideas would be totally appriciated , Thanx :)

Well, I did Argos. But they didn't have half of what I wanted.
BUT they did some nifty cheap cane tables and such.

Our entire house is Tesco and Freecycle :)

deffinatly check out freecycle.

if your claiming housing benefit, and your on some form of benefit, you may be eligable for a community care grant which is a one of payment that you do not have to pay back ranging from £100 -£1000 (or thereabouts)

i moved into a flat and i got £517 to help with buying all the essentials.

morrisons does a load of appliances like toasters, irons, sandwich toasters, kettles etc in a 'basics' style fairly cheaply.
i think they're all under £10. they also do loads of baking tins and dishes in the basics range too.

Ikea is pretty good if you can get to one. Even just for things like cheesegraters! They're nice and cheap, and pretty functional.

wilinsons is great for kitchen stuff, bedding etc

freecycle! and gumtree...

Are you moving into a furnished or unfurnished flat?

If it's furnished, find out what you're going to get in it. I've moved into 3 different places now, all with varying levels of furnishing and it's all affected what I've needed to bring/buy. Soooo, if you let us know that we might be able to offer some more advice.

aso look in the local paper for items being sold - you can get certain things really cheap and in good condiion in the paper as people change their things so often or cant afford them anymore or have decieded to change the style. always go ad see the item before you buy
