Nervous about going back to uni and work

I am due to start back at uni in March after basically having 18 months off. I'm scared that I won't be able to cope even though I have a GPA of 7 - which is the highest you can get under our system.

I've also decided that I need a part-time job in order to get the money together for uni and I'm terrified. I lost my last job because of my mental illness and am terrified that the same thing is going to happen again.

Does anyone have any idea how I can cope with these fears without going totally insane?

Are you going to have any support when you go back to uni? You could get things like extensions for coursework and extra time in exams. Do you have a personal tutor who can be there for you? Using your uni's counselling service, if it has one, would also be a good idea. What is it that you worry you won't be able to cope with?

Making some time for voluntary work would be a good way of getting you back into the world of work. Also, being honest with your employer about your health problems can mean that adjustments can be made for you to allow you to work to the best of your ability.

Good luck with everything.
