9/11: A Conspiracy?
 

So, i dont think anyone has posted this before and i know its 8 years since 9/11 but as im ill and have been in bed, ive been watching loads of videos and stuff and theres alot of sites and videos suggesting that the U.S Government planned 9/11.

alot of people are saying there were bombs on each floor which caused the buildings to collapse and some are suggesting thermite was used as there were 'rivers of molten lava' that could not have been caused by the fire from when the planes struck.

i was wondering what peoples opinions were...thought it would be a good debate as i am bored and i find this quite interesting.

My opinion: why would the government commit mass murder, especially when the victims are their own citizens? of course i dont think it was a conspiracy, there are a lot of coincidences but if they wanted the towers gone or whatever, they would have done it without killing thousands of people. it has kept me pretty, i dont know whether 'entertained' is the right word to use...but as i said, i have been ill in bed and been pretty bored!

So yea, what do people think??

I don't believe it was a conspiracy either, it was just a tragic act.

Some people just need to get out more and stop hating authority. Loose Change (one of the most famous conspiracy films) is a load of nonsense with all their 'facts' being refuted several times.

To the question of why in the conspiracy theorists mind; the attacks set up the pretense for war which had been in the plans for years, as well as allowed for domestic bills to be passed, such as the Patriot Act, which also had been planned for years but never succeeded in passing.

There is a quote by the Project for A New American Century, a neocon think tank which includes many of the men that were influencial during the Bush Administration, on how to sustain American dominance for another century in which they call for a "new Pearl Harbor." This allowing them to go into war where 'needed' and domestic policies for control. Many people equate that with 9/11, and whether they caused it or not, they definitly got their new Pearl Harbor.

There's also the fact of Osama having been a CIA asset in the past, and controversy between where the hijackers came from and how they were financed - mostly Saudi's.

Then there's the whole NORAD failure, buildings falling, and whatever else.


All that said, I attribute the attacks to government ineptness and a failure in foreign policy which contributes to blowback.

We've been pissing off people in the Middle East for years on end, bombing them, killing their families, having troops in their 'holy land' etc. We (America) have troops in over 130 countries around the world, with over 700 military bases. We overthrew an elected leader and implemented a puppet dictator in Iran in 1953. We had been bombing Iraq since 1990. We've proped up leaders in Egypt and Saudi Arabia which most of the general people don't like. We've meddled in other countries affairs for long enough for them to hate us, all of which attributes to blowback. You mess with something, it's going to come back and hit you in the face.

Blowback, with a general government ineptness to do anything right is what caused 9/11. Whether it was the government, or Al Qaeda, or the j00z, or whatever conspiracy people seem to think it was doesn't really matter. Regardless of who did it, our current foreign policy is only going to attribute to more. We're in two endless wars, and for every innocent person we accidently kill, we turn their family in to terrorists ready for revenge.
