Does anyone do....

Sewing stuff... like making their own clothes or is like a fashion designer or something.

I'm making my own halloween costume and this time I want it to be good, instead of previous crap attempts....

so if anyone could give me some hints or tips.. you would seriously rock ^_^

thefool 04-10-2009 11:40 AM

I sewed a button onto my top the other day.

Shadowsaurus 04-10-2009 04:42 PM

BunnythesAINT 04-10-2009 05:10 PM

I wish. I learned to hand sew and would occasionally do like a little project or like repair some pants but I'm by no means some like...Project Runway type of person lol.

Practise on spare pieces of fabric first, I recommend. Also take your time with it. Other than that, good luck really =]

I think 'The Hierophant' does that kind of thing. She might be able to help.

rockaroni 04-10-2009 06:58 PM

I used to customize my clothes a lot, it's something I should get back into.

Though I am making my halloween costume too, it's a Sally dress, from Nightmare Before Christmas :D

That's too cool.
I want a Jack Skellington jacket, not for halloween, just to wear on normal days lol.

rockaroni 04-10-2009 08:10 PM

I'm trying to get my boything to go as Jack. He's practically skinny enough :P but he wants to go as Oogie Boogie.

I.Heart.And 04-10-2009 08:14 PM

Aw, shame. That would of been great.

Oogie Boogie is the nuts! My ex went as that once...he did it crap though. Just waddled around in a duvet cover

rockaroni 04-10-2009 10:03 PM

That doesn't work! I think if I do have to make oogie boogie I'd just get a load of sack material and staple pillows in it. Where would you actually get sack material from? But I want us to be Jack & Sally because they're the best couple in the world ever.

(this hijack was totally unintentional!)

Kestrel 04-10-2009 10:12 PM

totally fine by me ^_^

LilTom 04-10-2009 10:15 PM

If my jeans get too torn, they become shorts. My shoes are held together with duct tape. That's how I do sewing.

Louise 04-10-2009 11:38 PM

I always wanted to but never got round to it.

I make the odd thing, but I'm not especially good, I'm a messy sewer, and I son't think I'm any good at making clothes.

Leo Pard 05-10-2009 12:46 AM
