Ear Ache and sore, swollen glands...help?
 

ive had this ear ache for about 3 or 4 days. and the glands or lymph nodes in my neck are so sore and swollen. i dont really feel sick but its painful and annoying. it hurts more when i swallow. i dont want to go to the docs because i would have to go to the ER as i dont have a regular doc here. but i need to get better QUICK!!!! because im going to see my son soon!!! little panicky here.

Well, it defo sounds like you may have some sort of infection or virus going on. Is there an urgent care clinic you can go to instead of an ER? You should see a doctor in case you need antibiotics, and so you can have a strep test done. An urgent care clinic won't be much more expensive then your normal doctors.

If you take Tylenol or Ibuprofen as recommended on the bottle that should help with the pain a little bit. But you should still get checked.

i agree that is does sound like you have some sort of infection so i would say that you need to get checked out by a doctor

im pretty sure i need to see a doc as i have a fever now. but i live in a tiny town and there are no urgent care clinics so i'll have to go to the ER. i dont want to go mostly because the last time i was there, they tied me down and put stitches in my wrist after a suicide attempt. im embarrassed.:pinch:
