1. What goes around the world but stays in a corner?

Damn! I've heard that one before, and I can't remember it!

This one really got me when I first heard it. And then I felt stupid.

2. A man and his son are driving along the road and they come to a railway crossing. The car gets stuck in the tracks and a train is approaching. Panicking, the man tries desperately to get unstuck, but to no avail - the train hits the car. The man is killed instantly, and the boy is rushed into hopsital.

Upon arriving, the surgeon comes in to have a look at him. Dismayed, the surgeon looks up and says, "I can't operate on this boy. He's my son."
