My thoughts

Ok, this is a REALLY big courage and brave step for me. I really mean that. I have only ever told my fiance, Liam, about these thoughts.I find them extremely embarrassing and I feel really stupid having these thoughts.

Right, so, lets start off with the first one. Like i said really embarrassing, so please don't laugh or judge me.

Sharks

Right so, I have an amazing fear of Sharks, like unreal, bad. I have nightmares about them, erm, two really vivid dreams were:

1) I dreamt that I was being stalked by a shark, and it talked to me, and i had to hide from it, and it watched me and talked to me through my mind and it scared me and I kept seeing it.

2) I dreamt my little sister and her friends were in a swimming pool and there was a shark in it, and they had to dodge the shark from eating them ! ):

I cant stand it, I feel like sharks are EVERYWHERE. Like, this is most embarrassing part for me, i think sharks are either going to come out my bath plug or they are swimming around my bed on the floor. Im so embarrassed to say that. But you probably don't understand how much that affects me, how it rules my life, how it takes over me. I cant have a bath anymore.

And for number two:

Snakes

These arent as bad as sharks, i dont dream about them as much. Just I think about them as in, they are in my bed with me or coming out of my toliet, sometimes i darent come out of the toliet.

This is such a pathetic waste of time, but it rules me.

It really does. Sorry. Its ok to laugh.

*hugs* don't be embarrassed. i think you should talk to a dr. about this. if it's affecting your life you may need some sort of therapy or something to help the phobia or whatever it is to go away. by no means should you be ashamed though, i think the most weird paranoid thoughts sometimes. feel free to pm me anytime. i promise i wont laugh at anything you say.

*hugs* i didn't laugh, i think it was really brave of you to say that. do you think you'd be able to talk to your doctor about this? it's a big problem for you but you can get help for it. if you didn't feel abel to tell him, you could always print uot thi spost and show it to him, if that would be easier.

*gentle cuddles* It's brave to admit something that is very embaressing for you! As others have mentioned, is there a doctor you could talk to about this? You may find them "stupid" but seeing as they are ruling you it is best to try and get it sorted out. Doctors have most likely heard a lot of things so they wouldn't find it as you believe they might.

Take care

I just wanted to say that there is no need to be embarrassed at all. :) I have been getting really bad nightmares that cross over into the day and can relate to such an intense fear.

You're not alone, I promise, I hope you can get some help.
