Useless

I am so ****ing USELESS

Im not doing **** with my summer, but its really not my fault like everyone says it is: i cant work where i wanted to work because i have attepmted suicide within the past two years, nobody else wants to ****ing hire me. Nowadays in order to not be a failure you need to have interests and goals.. i have both those things, its just that no one is giving me a chance.

=[

The big thing is that i need to be active in something if i even want to think about getting into college next year.. its not gunna ****ing happen. Im not getting into college.

Everybody just keeps saying i cant do certain things. Everything i can do just makes me feel useless because i know there are bigger things that i want to do that would make me feel like i was actually helping the world.

I dont know why im even posting this.. it's not like anyone here can help me with this.

I want to cut, but i told someone i wouldnt. I dont want to lie to them.

But really, i want to get into college and i dont want to be so ****ing bored all the time.

Hey,

You are not useless, honey!

Have these potential employers told you outright that it's your mental health state that's preventing you from getting employment? Are there any careers advisors near you, like Connexions if you're in the UK?

You mention that goals and interests are what people are interested in... maybe you could keep yourself distracted with hobbies or learning a new skill? A lot of people reccomend volunteering, as it really helps the self-esteem and looks good on CVs/resumes. It could help with your boredom too and make you feel good about yourself! :)

Volunteering could help you feel like you're adding something to the world too. I really understand where you're coming from - it can be horrible to really want something but have people putting you back all the time. Maybe make a list of small goals that lead up to a bigger goal you want to acheive and help you feel like you're acheiving something along the way?

i agree about the volunteering, you ould try for work experience in the area you want to work in and in the meantime keep looking for any job you can to keep you occupied.
i really relate to the frustration you're feeling about not being able to get a job. boredom can also make you feel really low cant it?
are there any sports or drama etc camps or programmes you could go to just to keep you busy? or you could try timetabling yourself a little, setting yourself tasks for each day to stop yourself being so bored.
take care

People are so wrong when they say you can't do this or that. Prove them wrong, because you can do it! You can do anything, it may take time & plently of effort but anything is possible.

The two posts above both offer very good advice :-)

Please try to stay positive, you are not useless at all xx
