Cacoethes 24-07-2018 09:42 AM

Morning guys
Going to be another hot one today!

Charlie051 24-07-2018 11:56 AM

Hey :) its surprisingly lovely outsdie today, cool and breezy even though the sun's boiling. We had massive winfs last night so maybe they blew some humidity away for a few days
How hot is it atm beckie?

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 12:04 PM

There's a bit of a breeze here too
Went out to asda earlier rather than go at my ususal time which would be the hottest part of the day!
Its 24° atm!
Not yet as bad as yesterday but still time!

Got much planned for the day charlie?

not_so_insig 24-07-2018 12:18 PM

It looks cloudy out of my window. I am watching my favourite programme and have a tesco order coming.

nonperson 24-07-2018 12:19 PM

Morning everyone.

I need to be sorting my garden out all week in these temperatures... *cry* And there's little to no shade in my garden.

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 12:25 PM

Sounds good dawn

Oh no np! How will you survive?!
I'm suffering just sitting here!

There were 3 Shetland ponies in town today
People were collecting for what I assume to be some sort of horse charity

nonperson 24-07-2018 12:28 PM

Hope they were somewhere in the shade, Beckie.

I'm not sure how I'll cope... Might have to wait until the evening... but I also need to go food shopping, hmm.

not_so_insig 24-07-2018 12:30 PM

Hope that they are well behaved Beckie! The worst bite I ever had from a horse was from a miniature shetland.

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 12:30 PM

Yes they were in the shade. And they had plenty of water available (made a point to check, being a horse lover!) :p

Waiting til the evening would be sensible
Or doing it early in the morning

They seemed very chilled Dawn!
Shetlands can be little characters though! Very cheeky

nonperson 24-07-2018 12:32 PM

That was my original plan- do a bit first thing and then retreat inside for most of the day and go out again in the evening. Didn't wake up early enough today though. =)

not_so_insig 24-07-2018 12:32 PM

Plus he had a parrot mouth too!

Glad that they were being well looked after.

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 12:35 PM

Thats a good plan np!

Ouch! Horse bites hurt at the best of times.

Being horsey is funny really, you can get kicked, bitten, stood on, chucked off and you still keep going back for more!!

Shetlands can be evil little buggers! Very cute to look at, not so cute in personality, sort of like the horse/pony version of little dog syndrome :P

Aubergine 24-07-2018 12:38 PM

Hello.

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 12:39 PM

They do tend to be very naughty!
There was one at a yard I used to work at who would open the other horse's stable doors!

Hey Aubergine.
How are you?

chinahorse 24-07-2018 12:39 PM

Agreed! The smaller the horse the larger the character!

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 12:42 PM

Absolutely Lillie!

Aubergine 24-07-2018 12:42 PM

I'm ok. Nearly lunch time. Then art therapy. Then ward round.

How are you?

nonperson 24-07-2018 12:48 PM

Hi Aubergine. =)

Feels weird you saying it's nearly lunch time when I only just had breakfast. =P Do you like doing art?

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 12:53 PM

Hope all goes ok aubergine

I'm ok
Just trying to stay cool and watching the rugrats movie!

chinahorse 24-07-2018 12:53 PM

Lol np!

Busy enough afternoon then aubergine! Do you like art?

Charlie051 24-07-2018 12:56 PM

Thats good Beckie! Glad its cooler and you got your shopping done :D

Good luck np :(
Hi aubergine! Rugrats movie and art sounds good ^-^

[Luna] 24-07-2018 12:58 PM

Hey guys

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 12:58 PM

Hey luna!
How are you?

Aubergine 24-07-2018 01:00 PM

I don't like art, but the lady is kind. I like squidging clay. I don't make anything though.

Thanks Beckie.

Hi Person. Breakfast was at 8am. How are you?

*cuddles lillie*

Charlie051 24-07-2018 01:03 PM

Hi luna :)

Awh im glad you had fun anyway! Mucking around can be good too even if you dont do any "proper" art. Plus you could always call it abstract ;)

chinahorse 24-07-2018 01:08 PM

Squidging clay is soothing though aubergine *cuddles back *

Hey luna and charlie and everyone

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 01:16 PM

Squishing clay is fun!

Builder guy still here doing whatever

nonperson 24-07-2018 01:17 PM

I'm ok, Aubergine. Got a week off work so trying to relax.

I'm guessing there isn't a kiln anyway to bake any clay things people make?

Squidging it is still good, even if you just form it into shapes. I used to do that with blutack and make little cubes out of it.

Aubergine 24-07-2018 01:27 PM

There is a kiln. The art stuff is good here. Glaze too. Week off sounds nice. I'm glad you enjoyed harry potter.

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 01:30 PM

We used to make stuff out of clay in one of the adolescent units.
Think mum still has a Christmas angel that I made. Also made a few plant pots

Charlie051 24-07-2018 01:31 PM

That's cool that they have that stuff :)

I want to go to sleep :(

Aubergine 24-07-2018 01:31 PM

That's nice, Beckie.

nonperson 24-07-2018 01:32 PM

Ooh wow, that sounds awesome (at least it does for someone who likes art). We had cool metallic glazes at school, I liked using those.

Yeah, needed some time away from home and work. It's a shame it's so hot though.

chinahorse 24-07-2018 01:39 PM

Sounds like they have good facilities aubergine. And metallic glazes sound amazing np.

Oh no charlie :( got much to do today?

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 01:51 PM

There's been fires round here too

not_so_insig 24-07-2018 03:13 PM

I had rain! When I went out before I got rained upon.

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 03:22 PM

Lucky!

one_step_closer 24-07-2018 03:31 PM

Did someone mention rain? :-p

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 03:39 PM

Don't you start!!!

not_so_insig 24-07-2018 03:48 PM

Two for Tuesday at Domino's! My local store does ham and pineapple. Might try it one day.

chinahorse 24-07-2018 04:06 PM

Inconsiderate idiots leaving things to set fire!! Grr

No rain here but then it is 'only' 22 degrees.

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 04:09 PM

It's 29° here!
Still very much not raining!!

chinahorse 24-07-2018 04:31 PM

That is insanely hot!

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 04:37 PM

Yep!!
I worked up a sweat just putting my curtains back up!!
Also twisted my bad ankle so very ouchy!

nonperson 24-07-2018 04:38 PM

It's become overcast here and is quite breezy so I might venture out into the garden soon. Not sure what temp it is, but it's 27 degrees inside the house.

chinahorse 24-07-2018 04:40 PM

Ouch beckie! RICE the ankle lovey.

Stay hydrated NP. Is there much to be done in the garden?

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 04:40 PM

It's quite breezy here thankfully!!

Thanks lillie, I shall RICE!

Cacoethes 24-07-2018 04:43 PM

I Can't even remember how I did mine!
Was pretty much a hit and miss type thing!

nonperson 24-07-2018 04:43 PM

Unfortunately there is loads to be done. A massive amount of weeding, lawn mowing, edging, hedge cutting, brambling, deadheading, potting up plants... =(
