My Dad is coming over for fajitas and nachos! With my step-mum. Which means I will have to tidy the flat, which seems to be a never ending job. :P

Oh my, Alec is so adorable!!

Weather's meant to be full sun and hot hot hot here.... which usually makes me want to just hide away more than normal. But should make the most of it and do some weeding or at least wash the car.

That sounds nice having your dad and step-mum over! I'm sure they won't notice if the flat is a little bit untidy.

Washing the car could be fun in the hot weather! Lots of water to cool down with. :D


Yeah, it should be nice. I find hosting a bit stressful, but I'm sure it'll be OK. Can't go far wrong with fajitas and nachos, can you?!

Last time I washed the car I nearly froze to death so the hot weather will be a nice change. =)

Hosting definitely is stressful! My mum is very critical of my cleanliness... =/ But fajitas and nachos sound excellent! I might crash the party too, haha. ;-)

My mum came to stay here for a bit a few years ago and cleaned all the skirting boards because she was appalled....

Hello all. I am watching badminton (the horse competition not the racquet sport) today so that's my weekend sorted. I am going to miss tomorrow's coverage as I will be out having a life.

I'm going to move at 14:30. It'll take half an hourish to tidy the flat, then about 15 minutes to go to the shop and back, then baking is fine because as long as it's in the oven by the time they come it's no bother and I'm only baking something easy - pretty much just "shove all ingredients in bowl and mix together..."

That's my kind of baking, if I ever do it. =)

Except without banana. Yuck.

Hannah, that sounds like a nice way to spend time especially when you're feeling unwell. Good weather is usually good for your health anyway so you're technically looking after yourself!
